Submission Guidelines
Kindling accepts simultaneous submissions, but you must immediately notify us if your work is accepted elsewhere. We cannot accept work that has been published elsewhere, unless it was self-published on a non-commercial personal site. Kindling cannot currently pay contributors for their work, but that is a long-term goal of the site.
How to Submit
Completed submissions can be sent to kindlinglitblog@gmail.com in .doc or .docx format, or can be shared through a Google Docs link. Emails should have the subject line "Submission: [Title]". In the body of the email please state your name, pronouns and any preferred title, the format or genre of the submission (for example, 'personal essay'), and any other info you think relevant. Submitted pieces may be accepted whole-cloth, or with suggested edits/development.
We also welcome pitches for individual pieces or for series. Pitches should involve an outline or thorough description of what the piece will include, why it is valuable or important, and any relevant samples of your writing.
